Collaborative K-12 Graduate Program
The Collaborative Teacher program leads to eligibility for certification in Special Education at either the elementary or secondary level. The programs focus on teaching ALL students with disabilities in ALL types of educational settings. Student will spend significant periods of time in K-12 grade setting working hands-on with students with disabilities. School experiences will include resource and special class placements as well as inclusion placements. Special education teachers are in high demand and sought out by all local school districts.

Alternative Collaborative Teaching M.Ed. (Online Program)
There are two options at the master’s level for students interested in teaching students with disabilities. The traditional master’s program prepares individuals who have an undergraduate degree and a teaching certificate in any field of education. The alternative master’s program prepares individuals who have an undergraduate degree but do not have any type of teacher certification. Students in either program choose elementary (K-6) or secondary (6-12) areas of specialization.
The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) program prepares individuals who have a master’s degree and a teaching certificate in special education. There are two certification options at the Educational Specialist level for students interested in teaching students with disabilities. Students choose elementary (K-6) or secondary (6-12) areas of specialization.
